This was the first visit for the family. One thing that made today's visit pleasant was that it wasn't stupid crowded like Disneyland. Lines were short and we got the chance to try out most of the rides. The longest wait time was 30 minutes on a couple of the rides. What impressed me most was miniland. I went to town snapping away. Here are some pics for your viewing enjoyment.
Must start with a shot of the park entrance. Being military, we got an admission discount. Ordinarily, admission is $51. *heart attack*

Legoland was created by builders.
Builders, an group that was recognized by Lego as extremely talented creators using lego bricks, were oftenly recruited by Lego after they had been recognized in competitions.
These champions for the competitions were then gathered to design, and build various large lego projects, including the ones you seen in legoland, and many of the lego shops.
Many of these projects include large lego figurines, sketches of human in lego bricks, buildings, large robot figurines, animal figurines etc using not less than 1000 lego bricks to construct.
Builders are being paid handsomely for their construction and some projects may require more than 5 builders to construct due to its enormous size. Special plastic glue and bricks were all provided by Lego during the construction.

Nice pictures jetta. They should also set up a destructive section for King Kong wannabe but that would defeat the underlying theme of Legoland.

my younger bro has always wanted to visit Legoland. So far the closest he has managed are only pictures of him standing outside Legoland California and Legoland Windsor. Hahaha. can u imagine how infuriate he is about it.
Legoland Cali, we didn't have time to visit it because it was one of those extra day thingies for a tour, and we'd opted to visit San Diego Zoo instead. On the way, some other members of the tour who opted to visit Legoland were dropped off, and he managed a few snaps.
Legoland Windsor, well, it was winter, and they don't operate in Winter. We were on our way to stonehenge, so we'd stop by for lunch, because altho the park itself doesn't operate, the eateries at the park entrance were. Needless to say, he got some snaps too... but no visit. -

Wow! Very impressive! Having been a "Lego" kid myself, I can appreciate the amount of effort required to construct those dioramas out of Lego bricks.
From your pictures, it looks like everything is displayed outdoors. What happens when it rains?
