  Not many ppl shipping to the old Bangkok port now I think coz the freight rates there are now lower. Laem Chabang used to be lower but now it's slightly higher.
  
  It's better to ship to Laem Chabang and inland rail to Lat Krabang, depending on where your plant is

  Anyway, Bangkok port is mainly served by RCL to hubs like PSA Terminal

  The reason they gave last time that freight to Bangkok was more expensive coz the straits into Bangkok port is very narrow and the vessals had to be towed in.
  
  I guess everyone just decided to ship to Laem Chabang, plus a lot of shipping line offer free inland railing
