  Evil cleaner is right. In the office alot of people you can touch (given the right method / tactic) but the cleaner is untouchable
  
  Everyone defers to her . Woe to the one who offends her...
  
  Erratic toilet cleaning time - sometimes morning, sometimes 1pm, yet no complaints everyone just LUUUNN
  
  Responsibilities - vacum the cubicles yes. pick up tiny piece of paper that just happen to fall outside of the bin NO.
  
  n so on n so on.
  I dunno maybe it's part guilt trip lah nobody dares to touch her y'know cleaner status so poor thing and all.

  A lot of the cleaners in the same building like to clean the toilets all AT THE SAME TIME, so if one toilet is out of action, all the rest are too. Once I had to run out of the building and across the road before I could release my load.

  okay.. i think people like av and shro-cat may be able to relate to this...
  
  yearly or half-yearly, we have to fill in this appraisal thing.. which is then ignored for the rest of the time...
  
  thing is, what the heck do we fill into those things?
  
  they're all kinda useless and pointless.. worse, since they have "automated" it, it's harder to fill in than ever.. in the past, we just photocopied the old one and sent it in... now we have to manually type the things in...
  
  i've developed a headache from trying to fill in mine... deadline was 2 weeks ago

  I miss the deadline every single time. And I always try to keep it as short as possible, in point form. It's usually the lazy and incompetant fuckers who end up writing long essays in the system.

  thing is, i think my boss wants to push for "recognition" for us... or something like that... really...
  
  in my past positions, none of the bosses cared about these things as we were all fighting fires or in a permanent state of chaos due to the constant overworkload...
  
  now, at my current section, we have lull periods and we have intense activity periods... now is kinda lull for a bit.. so she wants it done nicely.. but i have never done it "nicely" nor have the ability to sprout so much BS to make it nice

  Urrgh...worked until 10pm without a meal in 16 hours to finish a document, with my pungent-smelling superior breathing down my back and going out once in a while to smoke and make it worse.
  
  Listening to him day to everyone the next day that he and I stayed together to finish the job pissed me off. The only input he made was the provision of his user account.

  how's this one?
  
  the boss of one of our buildings (let's call him "the asswipe" ) was approached by another agency for permission to put up a few signs...
  
  the asswipe told the agency that they could..
  
  and then behind the agency's back, the asswipe wrote an email to the people in the head office to tell the agency that they cannot put up the signs...
  
  now, the agency knows what the asswipe is like, so they approached their No.1 to write an email to our No.1 to "formally seek permission" (but we know it's just them pressuring the asswipe)
  
  so, our No.1 tells them to go ahead..
  
  then, the No.2 steps in and suggests we "expand this to have a holistic sign" and then directed people to tambar everything inside... when "everything" really means EVERYTHING...
  
  and along the line, my section gets drawn in because we created a few posters in the past..
  
  a snowball effect took place, and the stupid thing is becoming bigger and bigger by the day... add to it, my new division boss who is kinda clueless as she's just taken over for less than a month...
  
  all because of the asswipe talking out of two sides of his mouth, a few A4 sized signs has now become a full-on project with new signage systems and God knows what other nonsense...
  
  someone should go stab the asswipe...
