ok lets see... at kranji we board the bus in 2-4mins
then we go to woodlands, get off... clear customs and wait 15mins for the bus.
but if we head to woodlands, we board the bus after 15mins
then clear customs and wait 15mins for the bus.
that means for kranji we save 10mins????? -

At the CIQ, you usually wun need to wait for the SBS buses, unless there's longer queue than usual at SG side
I can't say for JB, the bus checkpoint too small -

woodlands INTERCHANGE = take SMRT 950.. which is 15 minute interval.. after immigration clearance, you can only take another 950 which means if you miss that bus you came in on, you gotta wait another 15 minutes..
Kranji.. you take 170 or 160 or the express blue-plated 170.. after immigration clearance, you can take EITHER of the 3 buses.. which means you get on another bus quickly because you can take 3 different buses (of which blue-plated 170 is most frequent at around 5 minutes or less frequency)
so, best and fastest is to go to Kranji MRT station and take the blue plated 170 to Woodlands CHECKPOINT and then take 160 or either of the 2 types of 170
