  You have to cut off all the hard skin.

  yaloh i also remember must peel.. some angmo website told me... "even though the skin is hard and angled... u dont have to peel it! Just slice it thinly for soup!"

  I wanna cook the.. luffa melon egg and dried shrimp soup..... dunno why got sudden urge for it

  Hmmm not loofah ah? I thought I saw it being spelled loofah...
  
  When I went to China to stay as a kid, opposite where I lived was a empty factory with alot of these melons growing everywhere. I think because it was winter, they dried up quickly and I ended up going home with tons of these melon scrubs.
