I wish like telling those folks to just stay in their little cubicle in Singapore
Why bother travelling
When I was in india I was eating their sour rice and what not
too
AND THEY HAVE THE BEST GARLIC BREAD EVEEERRRRRRR
It was like in one little tiny bakery hut with all kinds of bread
And the garlic bread was like super heavenly!!! -
yeah.. but in Melbourne, they call it Souvlaki.. i dunno why.. but it's the same thing..
charcoal slow roasted marinated lamb on a spit.. on pita bread toasted with olive oil.. dressed with lettuce, tomato, onions... tzaktiki sauce... a slight squeeze of lemon, a pinch of herbs...

still remember when my sister was working for her last company... she had to go to Dakar in Bangladesh...
the boss told her: never order chicken.. it's crow... never order lamb or mutton, it's dog.. try not to order fish.. it's from their open sewer...
dunno what the heck she ended up eating -

it would have been 2 years, but i'd be getting a truckload of dosh for my efforts

Beware of Fake Eggs
Xinhua has a report about artificial eggs that were apparently sold by a street vendor in Handan, Hebei Province. The report says that the man who took the eggs home found that the eggs' yolk and white were all mixed up, and di not have any flavor. After inspection by "relevant departments" it was found that the dodgy eggs' shells were made from calcium carbonate while the fake yolks were made from a mixture of gelatine, starch and other chemicals.

oh...i remember going to this restaurant in guangzhou.
they had all these life animals/seafood/insects.
you just pointed at whichever animal you wanted/grab a net and fish out whatever seafood you want...and they cook it for you and serve it to you. and you eat it. and i think its fucking sick. i mean...picking out a live animals from a cage and knowing that they killed it and that you are eating it...
err...nvm...its just me
but they had stuff like cats and dogs and porcupines, and peacocks... -

1. mangos with rice ... kau neow mahmuang, they call it in thai ...
2. green mangoes ... the way many people eat it in indo china ... it's like crunching into an apple .... -
was thinking of the mangoes the way the surfie dude chefs did it..
into a mortar and pestle, they put sugar, lime zest, chilli padi and the ground it up into a greenish sugar..
then they sprinkled it onto cut mango..
i also like the unripe mango where you eat with chilli, sugar and dark soy sauce -
