My review of some national anthems
I think the Star Spangled Banner is beautiful, given the words and the context in which it was written.
God save the Queen is truly British, and if you happen to read the later verses, you will know why.
China's one is truly militaristic, but I dont understand the siege mentality.
The Soviet one is another beautiful one, a mix of love for the country and the desire to spread communism. -
