I planted carnivorous plants before.. its quite fun! Had pitchers, venus flytraps, and sundews. My pitchers and sundews are still growing
but after about 1-2 years.. my venus flytraps.. grew SMALLER and smaller and smaller.. (they propagated very well at first.. I had many rosettes of them).. then eventually disappeared.. I think it is due to the too hot weather...
You can get them at far east flora... -
unfortunately... carnivorous plants.. most of them ATTRACT the insects that they eat.. (except for the Venus flytraps I guess)... so..uhh.. they dont just REMOVE existing insects.. they will keep on attracting them.

Errr may be other better ways of attracting insects ba... by the time u see them.. they are a wet sticky mush on the end of the sundew... or a wet sticky mush... at the bottom of the pitcher.. or a dry shell between the leaves of the venus flytrap....
How about Lantanas.. easy to grow and ... supposed to attract a lot of butterflies... and I've got heaps of dragonflies in my garden (at my mom's hse) -
I wish I had my own garden.
I'd lovingly tend to it and make sure it attracts all the kinds of insects I like. -

My hubby just go out and changkuls on .. err... overgrown land in the middle of nowhere to plant his trees and all. Can't tell u where sekali mata catch him.
but i'm sure u have seen lots of plantations in the middle of nowhere planted by people. -
I want to sit down in front of the plants and try to capture the insects' last moments mah. Seems that it is easy to get their eggs too
Just need a fresh batch.
