What;s your fav canteen food when you were in pri & sec sch?

  I still what to go visit. I've been saying that for forever. My primary school, though still in the same location has undergone a renovation. Don't know if I'll recognise it. My secondary school is now somewhere in Hougang. I just want to go eat. Sightings of familiar faces will be a bonus.

  I rly miss my sec sch canteen food.. it was SO SO SO good... everyting oso have!! and cheap some more! Too bad too bz to go back eat! Tink everystore is my favourite, coz all the 10 stores serve fantastic food!

  In Primary School, I loved the 40 cents Mee Pok and after finishing the Mee Pok, the Aunty let us pay another 10 cents only to get a handful of sliced fishcake and soup poured over the leftover gravy so we get some kinda spicy fishcake soup! LOVELY!!
  
  I also liked the 30 cents bee hoon and the 40 cents mee siam.
  
  In Secondary School, my favourite was the Indian Rojak with lots of gravy, the lor mai kai and the sweet 'n' sour meatballs on li'l toothpicks (snack item). Can't remember how much the items used to cost. Odd, can remember the Primary School canteen items but not the Secondary Sch ones! Must be growing old - long-term memory better than short-term memory!

  by the time it got to my secondary school days, the canteens no longer sold decent stuff

  oh yah hor, nowsadays food sold are controlled aready. no more fried chicken wings etc. French fries cannot everyday sell. Healthy lifestyle!

  My primary school used to have small corner that opens out to a wooden window where one ah ma sell tibits and junk food..my fav was kaka, tora and all those crackers that has plastic toys inside. As for meals not so much i can mention in primary school except steam eggs from a noodle stall at 20 cents each...very expensive during my time.
  
  During my sec school days we have a western food stall which serves dishes that i loved! And also one mix vege rice stall that always fill my stomach. Otherwise its all the beverage stalls that sells soft drinks or 20/ 30 cents cups hot or cold drinks.

  Actually in my prev job where I go often to a couple of primary schools and eat... i can testify that primary school is NO longer nice.
  
  All that healthy living thing. plus.. the food is boring leh it seems.

  Changkat Changi Primary School 1981-1985
  
  White rice with char siew slices with that char siew sauce.
  
  Bee Hoon soup. Can refill for more hot soup.
  
  those yummy Curry Puffs. You bite a small mouthful off the tip, spoon in as much their watery chilli sauce you like.
  
  Syrup Drinks is 10 cents in those colourful plastic tall cups.
  
  And those dried black colour preserved sourplums w/o seeds in small transparent packets. 10 cents.
