I finally got to eat Couscous and I like it. Now, waiting for a chance to eat Artichoke, Jerusalem Artichoke, Rhubarb and etc etc! Thing is, I'm not sure I'd love the taste and don't wanna buy the stuff only to throw it all away. Wish they were like free and placed right in front of me for a taste test! -

Ok, I think I might have figured out why I've got this interest in trying out risotto - as a kid, I used to cradle a warm bowl of thick porridge and gwai-gwai sit at a corner of the kitchen near the bottom window, gingerly scooping spoonful after spoonful of the porridge, feeding myself quietly. Brings back lovely memories of my childhood, grandma, and my recently deceased grandpa...

When I was young I always bug my ma jie that I wanna eat porridge with all the nice teochew preserved stuff
Then after that I will bug my grandfather for some gongfu tea and I was like barely 7 then
And I will be chattering non-stop at the same time
And you think why I worry about having a kid -
