  We forgot to start a thread for October so here's one for end-Oct and Nov!
  
  I'm reading a very magical children's book :
  
  
  
  I saw a really lovely red velvet-covered book in this bookstore I love here and the title was "A Fox Called Sorrow". Turned out that it's the 2nd book in a series. That started me on a hunt for the rare 1st installment of the series and when I finally found it, I was sooooo pleased and just had to have it!
  
  Wondering if the book is available in SG? It's a really good read! Simple yet magical!

  I've read 2 books so far, this month:
  
  
  
  After a good movie, conversation with a good friend, and great chocolate, all's right with the world." ~Laura Jensen Walker
  
  This book celebrates female friendships; the author truly enjoys her special time with her girl friends. A very enjoyable read!
  
  
  
  A funny book about tea-drinkers & the various types of biscuits available in the market!
  
  Topics include:
  
  * How to taste, buy and store biscuits
  * Classification with a really big Venn Diagram
  * Dunking, with tips on how to avoid bottom sludge
  * All these important biscuits groups, plain dunkers, digestives, shortcakes, oats, jammy biscuits, marshmallow things, gingernuts, chocolate covered, fruity, icing, wafers and foriegn ones.
  
  They even dedicate a page to Australia's Tim Tam biscuits, and one of my childhood favourites, 'Iced Gems' - little biscuits with iced toppings.
  
  On their website http://www.nicecupofteaandasitdown.com/ the authors have created a yummy display called 'The building of the Biscuit City'. Here's a picture that left me feeling hungry for a biscuit!

  I'm reading The Rough Guide to Scandinavia (2005)...it's just as good as Lonely Planet IMO. I borrowed 2 copies of CAR UK (Sep 2005 and Feb 2006) from the library as well.

  I've been hunting for the equivalent of an Idiot's Guide to Cars for total beginners in an attempt to understand and learn more about cars before I purchase one in the near future, but I can't find one!
  
  And the car mags are all focused on expensive, speed monsters whereas I just wanna learn the basics of car mechanics and maintenance!
  
  Say, if you come across a book that would be helpful to me in my endeavour, pls let me know! I'm at my wit's end already!

  You can try doing an inter-library loan from the library near you! It's usually free for borrowers, and what it means is the library sources a book not held in their collection from any other public library in Australia that has it; for their customers.
