  soon soon.. i still have to clear up 16 days of last year's leave by the end of the year...
  
  besides, i have to go give a presentation in the afternoon later...
  
  will go home after that.. it'll be early but i don't think anyone minds.. by the time i get back to the office here, it's time to knock off anyway

  it hurts now.. sometimes actually..
  
  but not to the extent where it was when the doc had to knock me out with shots...
  
  so in that sense, getting better
  
  maybe somewhen in the future, i may have to opt for that surgical op where they fuse the vertebrae?

  You and my SO have some problems that can only be corrected surgically.
  For him, it will be a knee surgery which he doesn't want to go to coz it means he have to be on 3 mths MC

  torn ligament or torn meniscus..
  
  both require surgery..
  
  however, with the torn menicus, there is now this stuff which helps.. frog glue
  
  they will make some frog secrete this stuff from their glands which is like glue.. then they glue the meniscus back instead of using sutures which do not hold the meniscus well...

  i think ligament repair with surgery is pretty routine these days... so don't worry.. but it does mean he's got to stay off his knee for some time, and then there's the physiotherapy which is gonna hurt

  the 3 months is for him to lay off his knee... and after the thing heals (which takes forever) it's physiotherapy time...
  
  unless he can go around and work in a motorised wheelchair, it is 3 months
  
  i was laid low for 2 1/2 months when i was butchered 10 years ago

  He can't, not with his job
  And he doesn't want to take his basic salary and license pay only
  We will eat grass for 3 mths!

  well, like that, endure.. for work, it will not really impair his movement much except it hurts periodically right?
  
  can get a specialist to write a pile of stuff and then give to his Medical Officer of his camp.. they'll do the downgrading..
  
  i never saw the medical board of the SAF but i don't do IPPT and i can't do anything a combat medic (my SAF vocation) does anyway.. they still call me back

  there's this famous surgeon now operating on michael owen who specializes in knee surgeries. read it in an article soemtime back.forgotten whats the process called.
