Seriously Kopi, I'd rather get the D200 plus grip, and then use the huge savings for your dream lenses. Camera bodies become "obsolete" so quickly.

with grip and batteries, how much?
i think i need a buy a whole lot of extra batteries because i heard D200 drains batteries like petrol in a humvee. -

spare battery is like what, $70++ or issit $90+++(cannot remember)
so everything still about 3k or so.
as for battery drain.......the LCD sucks power like crazy, so does taking RAW files, so you better get at least 3 spares then.
without using the LCd preview, and taking jepg fine, large, I can get about 500 shots on one battery. -
people tell me using AAs in the grip gives you a lot more power, but I never try before.
