well, figuratively... and in a few extreme cases.. yah.. abcesses ended up infecting nerves travelling to the brain, killing the fella..

dude.. try your damnest to get to a dentist as soon as possible...
and in future, schedule some time half yearly to go get it checked to prevent this sort of pain...
i need to go to the dentist soon but i'm not sure if my back can let me keep still for that usual half hour -
okie, I have to confess that I'm actually holding out seeing the dentist .....
I'm waiting to get on my company's dental coverage after my 3 month's up ...
else it'll cost an arm and a leg to see a dentist here ..... ........ -

I was more than HAPPY to pay the few hundred bucks to be rid of the pain. -
it costs me an arm and a leg to see the dentist anyway coz unlike what many people think, we civil serpents get squat when it comes to medical and dental coverage..
but it saves on agony... -

I thought I could endure it. Wrong! When I asked for it eventually, they said I had to wait my turn because there was only one doctor administering it and I had to wait my turn. By the time they gave it to me I was right at the cusp of delivering so it had absolutely no pain numbing effect until after I delivered.
