I soooo gan dong that even though I am far far away and still without a PC, you guys still remember my b'day!
So gan dong! *cries happy tears...
I had a great day! I bit the bullet and endured a 10-day workday that was really sheer hell but I accummulated four rest days to be taken at a shot as my birthday celebration! So, for the past four days, I've been going out shopping and eating!
The eve of my b'day, I went to the Richmond market in the morning as usual. It's my weekly routine! It feels good, though, to not have to rush back home and get ready for work afterwards!
Then, flipped the papers and whoa... the Myers Christmas Parade and unveiling of the Myers new window displays that afternoon! So a quick call to persuade Bear's sis to crawl out of her bear cave and come meet me and we went down to Singapore Chom Chom to eat Wanton Mee and Iced Cheng Tng, then we put on Sunblock and watched the Parade go by! It was sooo cuute!! When Barnie went by, the kids screamed, "Barnie! Barnie!!" so I joined in too!
A really wonderful Aussie colleague took me out on my special day and she not only gave me a gift, she paid for our movie tix, then she got her friend to join us for dinner and they gave me a treat! We went to this Viet-Chinese restaurant and I ordered the Mee Goreng which was really really delicious and cooked in the famous Punggol style! Yum! Yum!!
To end the day, she insisted that we drive down to one of the Pokies places and have a go at the one-armed bandits!
When I got home that night, I stayed up to continue watching the rest of "The Banquet" DVD that Bear's sis and I bought (one copy each) the previous day in Chinatown.
The next day was yet another shopping day. This time, I went out not planning to do anything except exchange my defective Utada Hikaru DVD of her MTV's for a better copy and came home lugging six pairs of new shoes! I now have three pairs of work shoes, one pair of sports shoes, and almost twenty other pairs of sandals, thongs, etc. See what happens when shoe size isn't a problem for me? I knew I had a Shoe Devil in me just hiding and waiting to be unleashed!
I had a real awesome b'day! Thank you, once again, for remembering your poor ol' Missy who's far far away and worries sometimes that she'll be forgotten by all of you! -

And die... I haven't been able to find a shoe cabinet that I like and which is space-saving too! Otherwise, they are way too ex in my opinion. I'll probably dump them all in a box before my friend comes to visit! -
