imo there are many different strats for raz. use one that works for you guild.
when my guild stepped into bwl, our strongest dps players where our warriors and warlocks. after wiping a few times, we seat down and discussed and found wat worked for my guild. This is the strate we used when we started out:
4 corners for each corner we have:
- 1 war per corner kitting dragonkin from that corner - sunder, blah blah, just get the agro.
- 1 hunter kiting legionnaires. these hunters cannot be in cheetah spec if not will be dazzed when hit. however if our hunters are damn good so they switch between aspecs to run faster.
- 1 shammie to put down earthbind
- other dps just kill the mages
- healers will HOT the kites. however this is very tricky, if your warrior sucks at getting enough agro from mobs, the healer dies. the idea here is to get the priest to pre-fade, shield, HOT then the war goes in to do his thing.
- droods can sleep a dragonkin each & heal. if war dies, they can do bear form and kite.
- when down to last few eggs, collapse to centre and fear so the orb controller can clear and hope enough pple survive for part 2.
okie tat's all i remember abt raz fight. if i'm wrong somewhere then sorry loh. cos now i do raz fight while painting my nails.

But recently from the beta forums it seems that druids are still sub-par against other classes haiz -

I like mage coz they are the most slack class to play
And easy to travel around
Shadow Priest is fun too but very sian to gear up.
You are like the bottom of the food chain, but it depends on how your guild distribute loot.
Like in my guild there is class preference and DPS Casters = Mages first, followed by Locks than Shadow Priests -

Err the firemage in my guild can hit 3.5k pyro without the increase in lvl leh.
Even my crappy Ice Mage is hitting over 2k in dmg for my crits in my crappy gear. My stupid belt is still blue!!! Dunno why belt never drop. -
for progression, you gotta be PVE specced. sorry but that is the truth. Priest class basic function is to heal. i am not happy about it too cos i felt shortchanged as a priest but my guild's loot system allow shadow priest to gear up too, just slower. and seriously, unless your VE can heal as much as my HOT or your gear has so much +heal/effect that your heals are comparable to a holy/disc priest, you should not be a shadow priest when u hit BWL.
i've played shadow/disc, disc/holy, holy/disc, hybrid (shadow/disc/holy). disc/holy or holy/disc is the best for healing cos even an idiot can heal with that spec. if u want to be shadow and heal, your gear and skill gotta be very good if not you will not be useful to high end raid. -

That is true too. We allow our shadow priests to gear up too but it is really slow for them. We never force members to respec but in the end they do it themselves. Anyway for my mage I'm gonna respec to elemental instead of Ice/Arcane -
I don't like the idea of forcing talent specialisations for raiders. It just kills their enjoyment outside of raids. Luckily my guild doesn't enforce raid specs, we have an open policy that as long as the raider is proficient in his/her job, they can be whatever spec they want to be. (except for the MT, but being a MT does have it's perks... like 1/2dkp on tanking gear and allowing MT's dkp to go to extreme negatives)Originally posted by elindra:That is true too. Err really that bad meh? We met a really nasty Feral Druid in Felwood in the AQ40 Feral gear. Slippery like an eel and he could also shift into cat form and disappear from sight and smack us when we are drinking. Druids can be damn excellent if played right. As with all hybrids, you depend very heavily on equipment.

druids suffers badly when their opponents have equiv gear....
