Let's talk about our plans for Christmas!!
It's fast approaching on our heels and I'm sure you can feel the excitement in the air now cause I'm sure the retailers have started to display Christmas stuff in the shops and displays and the Christmas decorations and lights must be up in Orchard Rd by now.
Also, do you decorate your house for Christmas at all and if so, what's your theme?
Any other interesting things that you plan to do for this season? Any annual 'rituals'?

evening i'm flying over to bangkok and having christmas dinner.

That is the usual stuff -
i dun like to buy presents, headache
that kills my joy a bit for the festive season
but i think i'd better get everybody something this year since i am back -
I sulk at home until its over
I hate christmas, dunno why

I will be celebrating Christmas with a few good friends.

i'll be driving from Idaho to southern California with my parents to spend a week with my Sister and her family.

Also, I have to grab a few more household items during the Christmas sales and don't really have that much $$ to spend on that AND gifts as well.
Also, if you don't know the person well, it's highly likely that the items you give will end up as white elephants anyways. -
I've started putting up Christmas decorations slowly liao! I started two weeks ago!
I shop for Christmas stuff at the $2 shops here or at dept stores like K-mart. Really puts me in a good mood!
Since my friend came over and stayed and liked my quaint li'l place, I think I'm keener to invite friends over so maybe, I might have a mini Christmas party this year! -

yeah! i love christmas. the atmosphere. the shopping spree. and the christmas service, and the outing after the christmas service.
this year i might wanna go club after the service though.. nv tried that b4 -

I used to be crazy enough to join the squeezathon in town LOL
These days it's just dinner and being with friends.
This year though I'm having an early pot-luck. However I focus on getting the house clean, no time nor energy for Xmas decorations It feels abit silly to decorate because I don't celebrate the festival (not religiously), and it's not worth it to decorate for just one night -

Oh, I've nestled a white reindeer with a big red nose amongst my pots of succulents in my huge living room window! Rudolph was the first decoration to be put up.Originally posted by MooKu:Rhonda how do you do up your place in Melbourne?
I've also hung up silver strings with translucent blue plastic hearts and stars along the blinds in my living room, plus thrown a few sparkly tinsel bits and pieces there too.
I've also got a li'l bow and bell thing on my screen door, and a mini Christmas wreath meant for scrapbooking on the handle of the door. Tiny but cute! (Also, if someone decides to kapok these items, not so sim tia cuz they are very cheap! )
I've got another teenie, meenie wreath with little metallic-coloured balls in it and there are lights in the wreath that will blink if you turn it on.
Then there's the string of star-shaped Christmas lights of different colours and blinking / lighting patterns that I've placed on my TV bench going up my TV.
Along my bedroom window, there's a string of wooden Christmas symbols and I've displayed my set of stained glass votive panels, and they look great when the sunlight shines right through them.
That, for now, is my humbly-decorated house.

I never do up my house... except for a tree about 50cm in height that has this fiber optics... or is it optical fiber... or are they the same argh you get what I mean right hahahahaha I got that tree last year and I place it in the living room. If you are not going any where during Christmas, Myer usually have a big sale the day after Christmas. Look out for that... you might be able to grab a bargain then.
