Quick Survey for da Gals

  The SO is a uhm "skilled worker" (I guess LOL **Revised - someone just told me he is Professional wah wah LOL ** ) and earns more. He shoulders more of the household expenses. I hold more certs than him but look where that's gotten me Thus I think it's good to pick up a skill, if I have kids I'd like them to learn some skills

  I have more certs than him, higher qualifications than him and he is earning more than me coz of his skill

  sooo the conclusion is size of cert does not matter, skill does?
  
  there are pros & cons to being highly skilled in a particular field, the pros being higher salary when the industry is hot. cons will be when the industry is not doing well, it is hard to change job i've done the "start from scratch" bit once and i definately don't wan to do it again
