I know hard to believe but that is what we did -
I mean like the last time he had to go rescue a stranded plane in USA. Just 3 days there and over 1k was spent

and I think buying an HDB flat in singapore as an investment is silly, more so if you're not going to stay in it ....
so I'll probably split my savings between something high risk and something that gives fixed returns ....

Well looking at our current finances with investments and what not, having a kid will wipe out our retirement funds
Just 1 kid
I'm not even talking about 2
It's estimated that having a kid will set you back by at least 400k
Of course ppl say kids are happiness, don't count the $$ but reading those sad story reports I really don't want to be caught in that situation -

When I was a kid I went to Yamaha kindergarden, I had dance lessons, piano lessons, art lesson, swimming lessons, speech & drama lessons and I asked my mum for Japanese lessons
And yet I had alot of time to play and watch TV too
