okay.. as mooted by the vicious one, we're going to Phuket in 2007!
approximately Oct
i know it's early but what the heck? we'll be planning this for ages since we plan makan also take so long
few things to figure out:
- exact dates
- where in Phuket?
- what are we going to do there?
- who is going?
- what to expect?
we can now start to haggle..
anyway, the lead time is for those who want to go scuba to get certified.. fatum and av are certified (and also certifiable but that's another story )
the vicious one will be getting certification...
i will go kachow the mutantdude and erijazz coz both are avid scuba people...
i'll be at the beach with cold beers -
nearly a year to get back into shape .... no excuse for me or any one not to fit into old wetsuits now ...
I'll go check out my lobang on the mergui archipelago thingy .....
I hope more people can get certified cos the diving there's really awesome ! ... especially Mergui from what I heard, but here's something I think we can ALL do ...
Sea Kayaking at Krabi ! .... the limestone caves are spectacular ! ...

slack, vege, drink beer and rest

- save for a trip (or rob the local bank)
- will not dive, rather, go join the bear and beer

And it does not rain as much. Except this time; its raining becos of the aftermaths of the tychoon that hits Phillipines.
But yah. Its sunny here for October. Good time to tan, to relax and eat your heart out. -

I'd love to join, but Oct is smack in the middle of the semester for me.
In any case, I don't have any experience or certification in scuba diving.

The last time I went Phuket, I didn't even swim in the sea....dunno why...it just wasn't conducive somehow...maybe too much cold wind?

Seriously, as yet. I've spent 3 weeks here in Phuket and I have not ventured into the waters. -

Over here, there is no such thing as what you dont want. Okay...except those cheesy touristy stuffs.
You wont find things you want cheap. You find those you need cheap. Especially tolietries.
Okies. I've just checked the thai calendar for 2007.
There is 31 days and the 23rd Oct Tuesday is a holiday.
Which means there should be some fairs that we can go to, when you guys are bored with the touristy, hang around the beach and drown in beer routine. -

I have plans to rent a kampong place, live like the locals.
Shower from a big pail of water, sleep in mosquito tents and we rent small motorcycles to go around.
Eat from local pasar malam & drink beers at beach or their coffeeshops, sitting at rickety chairs. -
