Travelling over the holidays is not for me. Never again, I say. Seattle was wet, wet, wet. Not as cold as I thought it would be, heng ah. Our seven days there was spent bouncing from relative to relative, party to party. No time to even take a nice long drive away from relatives. And as expected, we came home with two extra bags of stuff. Can you imagine receiving a bag of MRE as an Xmas gift? Most of our relatives shop at the Thrift store.
I'm glad to be back in sunny California and 20 degrees warmer.
What did you get for Christmas? Now that the gift giving orgy is over, I'm looking forward to a brand new year. May the new year be filled with nothing but happiness and good health. Cheers !
You're complaining about rain in Seattle?
Sheesh, that's like... like... um, visiting Seattle and, um, not expecting rain... like.

Okay! I'm terrible at analogies. So sue me! )
Christmas Eve was spent at a good friend's house watching the movie "Army Of Darkness" on his 50" plasma HDTV while trying to wolf down a (I kid you not) 1.5 lb. prime cut of sirloin steak, plus assorted sides. I barely managed to finish the steak, and had to skip dessert, for obvious reasons!
Christmas was, as usual, spent with my good friend Jim and his family. I met Jim right after coming to Minnesota in '91, and have spent every Christmas Day with his family and him since then. Jim is a total riot, and I've always maintained that his comic timing and sense of humour would easily land him a job as a stand-up comedian if he ever got laid off from Northwest Airlines. Again, lots of food, drink and entertainment, and the evening concluded with stomachs full from all the gorging, and sides aching from excessive laughter.
2007 will soon be upon us, and I'd like to wish one and all a very Happy New Year!
