  I still prefer the original effects you did
  The amended version has a softer effect
  I prefer the earlier one which is stronger, harder and seems to give the photo more dept and charc.

  I was lucky, it was actually going to rain, that's how the storm clouds were there.
  
  The sheen of the buildings was done in Photoshop.
