Hey Rhonda, do you know the shop selling Asian CD's, DVD's and VCD's across the road from your favourite Chomp Chomp? Is it where you bought your Korean movies from? I am not sure how long the shop has been there for, just happened to discover that at lunch time today.Originally posted by Rhonda:
Need I confess to my current obsession?
Yeah! That's where I go to spend my $$ when I'm homesick for some good Asian movies / TV series! Good on ya for finding that place!Originally posted by honeymouse:Hey Rhonda, do you know the shop selling Asian CD's, DVD's and VCD's across the road from your favourite Chomp Chomp? I haven't seen any Korean movies before.... I was looking at the Japanese Anime and HK series (the old ones especially). It's too expensive to buy the whole HK series though....Originally posted by Rhonda:Yeah! That's where I go to spend my $$ when I'm homesick for some good Asian movies / TV series! I think the original Korean TV Series sold there are quite well-priced! I mean, AUD 45-65, depending on the no. of discs in the set, is really not bad!
Did you just discover them? You missed the Christmas period sale of just AUD8.00 per Korean movie DVD then!
omg.. i think my english is better...Originally posted by the Bear:i keep telling them that the people who are put under mentors must be called either "understudies", "students", "pupils" or "trainees"
not bloody something which resembles "manatee"
just like you invite someone, they are your bloody "guests" not bloody "invitees"

I'm not sure if I should feel disturbed that my mom is spending most of her time watching dramas like the above. She has like stacks of the box sets now. The latest one she's watching is My Girl, I think.Originally posted by Rhonda:At fault? No way! I'm very thankful to you for your awesome recommendation! Can't thank you enough!

Princess Hours
Korean movies can be quite draggy, to be frank. However, I'm always mesmerised by the very pretty actresses and the sometimes handsome male leads. The Korean sceneries can be nice to admire too!Originally posted by honeymouse:I haven't seen any Korean movies before.... I was looking at the Japanese Anime and HK series (the old ones especially). Korean dramas would appeal to most females cause of the beautiful cast (sometimes dropdead gorgeous), the awesome scenery, and ta-daaaa, the often romantic storylines! Well, it's innocent fun, and when this Aussie bloke overheard me talking about Korean dramas to an Asian colleague, and saying how refreshing it was to actually watch a love story on TV without having to see the *yawn* almost obligatory sex scenes and he went, "Wot?!! What the blardy hell is a love story with no sex! If you must fly, fly first class, mate! Ya gotta go all da way, that's the only way ta go!"Originally posted by av98m:I'm not sure if I should feel disturbed that my mom is spending most of her time watching dramas like the above. Myself, I prefer selected korean horror/thriller titles where the hot female leads shed their clothes
I haven't heard peeps back home using that very often at all.Originally posted by elindra:I've been hearing this word for many years

Actually I hear people who graduated from our top 'elite' schools using it too.....all the way up to management level.Originally posted by elindra:Have you studied in a neighbourhood school or poly
And I get that at the workplace too
Don't forget the people I used to work with at my old workplace. I'll roll over and drop dead if they use 'bombastic' words such as this!Originally posted by elindra:Have you studied in a neighbourhood school or poly
