  Thing is , colleague took leave to take care of her children who are starting school. Sigh feel so bad for her that this had to happen now.

  Very sad...but that's one of the sacrifices you have to make if you want to raise your children. It's no accident that all of the senior management at my workplace are single women or married with no kids.

  vendor on leave until 9th.. so leave it to the other lunatic to look after things..

  Coincidentally, somethg similar is happening here. The editor of the in-hse publication somehow missed out big chunks of articles sent to her from our division (we're talking about like 9 missing articles here )...and the editor is on mc...the mgrs & bosses (whose articles are missing) are not around...so have yet to see the publication....and I wait with bated breath to see what's gonna happen.

  These couple of days I've actually been toying with the idea of a mid-career switch to teaching Can't imagine ending up a teacher but I think it's a more child friendly vocation !
