Like anything you buy online, there's always a risk. I just had a look at it, it seems legitimate and also the seller seems to have 100% positive feedback from his/her customers.
If you are in doubt, you can also email the seller and ask questions.
There're still a few days before the bid finishes though so the finishing bid may easily go over $1k.
Where about are you in Melbourne? I am in Melbourne too. Probably betther for you to look around to check out the best price you can get first.
