CPF or no CPF now you still see more and more elderly working at fast food joints, hawker centres, food courts and begging on the streets. The scary thing is, a lot of them actually have children. i know many have tried their damnest... if their children do not "make it" and can only survive hand to mouth, the elderly are screwed..
which is why, like av says, many are at fast-food joints, others are rummaging through rubbish bins collecting can to sell to the recyclers...
