Too heaty your jaws can ache too
Don't get TM jaw

If it is the joint near the ear
yes it is TM jaw
I had that problem after the auto-accident and it was so painful I was on painkillers for like 4 mths
Then it got slightly better but still hurt and after 1 yr the problem was gone
SighOriginally posted by shinta:
its near the left ear! actually at first i tot i had ear infection cos my ear was hurtin sooooooooo much
hmm should i go to the company dentist? or should i drop by polyclinic?Originally posted by elindra:Sigh
Sounds like it
Better see a doctor for it
Btw TM jaw is hard to cure
It can take a few weeks to go away..months or even years
Btw I had to chew holding my jaw when I was on pain killers
Before you go and see a dentist or specialist, how about try to take some anti-infammatory tablets like neurofen just for the moment to ease the pain. Just make sure you read the label before taking it. You need to have some food with it.Originally posted by shinta:

migraine problem
time to pack upOriginally posted by elindra:
Pain killer is not the same as anti-inflammatory tablets. Pain killer like panadol, panadeine etc and they don't have anti-inflammatory stuffs in it. Some pain killers do and neurofen is one. Ask the chemists about it.Originally posted by shinta:doc gave me some pain killers... but most pain killers are too mild now.. cos i was takin a lot of those 3 years back

My hubby has got TMJ too, and once you got that, it doesn't go away. It just comes and go. Unless you fix your jaw which is going to cost quite a bit.
While proper diet might help and ease the pain slightly, it doesn't get rid of the problem completely. It is a form of arthritis (read it somewhere)....Originally posted by the Bear:i thought TMJ can be managed with proper diet and stuff like that?

That's right. Funny thing is my hubby doesn't grind his teeth at night and yet he's got TMJ Anyway, I am not overly surprised by that as he always have problems with the teeth alignment. It requires at least A$20k to fix it that's why he hasn't done anything about it yet.Originally posted by elindra:Yup yup yup
And if you have teeth grinding problems you need a guard for you to put in your mouth from your friendly dentist if you don't want the problem to worsen.
i'm looking forward to the 17th!Originally posted by av98m:*packs up*
