the doc pressed against my jaw... only the left side hurts.. the right side was ok...
i can chew n talk.. it feels the same when i just keep my mouth closed...
only when i open my mouth wide... den it hurts like no tml -

yes it is TM jaw
I had that problem after the auto-accident and it was so painful I was on painkillers for like 4 mths
Then it got slightly better but still hurt and after 1 yr the problem was gone -

its near the left ear! actually at first i tot i had ear infection cos my ear was hurtin sooooooooo much -

It can take a few weeks to go away..months or even years

Before you go and see a dentist or specialist, how about try to take some anti-infammatory tablets like neurofen just for the moment to ease the pain. Just make sure you read the label before taking it. You need to have some food with it.Originally posted by shinta:

migraine problem
My hubby has got TMJ too, and once you got that, it doesn't go away. It just comes and go. Unless you fix your jaw which is going to cost quite a bit. -
i thought TMJ can be managed with proper diet and stuff like that?

And if you have teeth grinding problems you need a guard for you to put in your mouth from your friendly dentist if you don't want the problem to worsen. -

Anyway, I am not overly surprised by that as he always have problems with the teeth alignment. It requires at least A$20k to fix it that's why he hasn't done anything about it yet. -
