Do you enjoy your current job? If "no", how far off the mark are you from your dream job and what made you do what you do for a living today?

My dream job is to be President of The Republic of Singapore
I'm VERY far away from my goal. Pre-requisite for the job is you must at least be a PAP lapdog leh. How?

it's something i have always wanted to do....
i believe im not far from my dream job, jus a little lazy and not enuf luck to get it.....

My dream job... hmm... theater productions!
But I have no experience at all...
I was planning to read Theatre Studies, but I couldn't get into VJC.
When I graduate with my degree in an unrelated field... I might try to land myself a job in a production company, provided there are suitable positions (I'm not picky though), and provided I don't have too many liabilities that depend on my income...
That's just one of my dream jobs.
Or... I could be a pastry chef! or... a music teacher! or...
... a banker.

try the neccessary stage, they do conduct workshops and call for volunteers from time to time ....

for the longest time, I had this whimsical thought of becoming a doc and running away to africa with medicenes sans frontiers after I've made my pile ....
fortunately, there are a few graduate medical schools around ... so perhaps it may just happen one day ... -

Well my dream job was to be a pilot. But in those days in Singapore, where got female pilots one?
So on to dreaming about being an astronaut. But my mum said she wouldn't allow me to go up to the moon
Now, my dream job would be serving the needs of customers by working with technology (e.g. blogging/wiki services) in a library/business environment. I guess this is still achievable, compared to the previous 2! -
My dream job is to hopefully own a small enterprise someday. Or to be landlord like some in this thread -
I would love to get job working as a Dving Officer in Antarctica. Diving under the ice would be breathtaking. Apparently, there are some jobs for personals in Australia Antarctica Division

My dream job is a couple of light years away from my present job. My dream job is to be a Papasan in my own harem, minding and managing all the prettiest girls in the world to serve me, me and ONLY me in every which way I desire....... but alas my present job is that of a paralegal but hey, I love my job - I need the money!!

it all started with my first job where i was exposed to the opportunities in IT. went off to uni and found out they had modules in the field that earned $$$. took those modules, graduated, landed a job in that field.
I became unhappy with previous job, took a 3mth course in another aspect of IT, and landed in my current job.
all in all i would say i'm v blessed. managed to get jobs that i pray for
