singles can post too mah. like how would u show your affection for the ones you love.Originally posted by Wanda:Waa.... this can get too mushy.
Must have some consideration for the singles here.
Anyway, I don't think I can describe it in one particular way, bec basically, it's made up of many small acts and thoughtfulness on a day-to-day basis. It can be as simple as making sure the water heater is turned on and ready for him when he comes home from work, or that dinner is ready for him (even though I work too), or making a small joke or acting manja at the right moment to make him laugh, etc.Originally posted by the_don:singles can post too mah. like how would u show your affection for the ones you love.

Wow you must have really loved him.Originally posted by viciouskitty74:whats the past tense of love?
Search & brought a HDB flat just above his mothers.
rationale:
1) His mother is old and prone to fainting spells. at least with us being so near to her, we can be there in any instant she needs us.
2) If he cannot take my cooking, there is always mummys cooking downstairs.
3) In the future with kids, we can always has mother in law look after the kids. And get her a maid to clean her house or cook while she minds the kids. And they are going to be so nearby to her.
4) 3 room HDB flat, we covered the payments with our CPF in one payment, instead of having to get loan and worry about our jobs to pay for a place to stay.
5) furnishings are all purchased to his taste. He liked a particular hanging lamp. We get that for the living room. The bed was a king size with no footboard cos he has too long legs. The sofa was changed to another design that means he can lie on it and watch TV comfortably. Utility room was fitted with a open hanging wardrobe so can hang his uniforms after i luandered & ironed them. All he has to do. Is to shower, come out of the shower, pick out his clothes and changed & he can be out of the door to work in less then 5 minutes.
6) Was trying to get my taxi licence, so that.....when times comes when I have to be at home most times to look after the kids at odd hours as a part time housewife. I can still drive a taxi to fetch him to and from work, drive the children to and from school, be home to cook for the kids & himself & still earns some pocket money to maintain the taxi and its petrol.
/.agreeOriginally posted by elindra:Wow you must have really loved him.
For me I think he loves me more than I love him...if there is a way to quantify love.
There is ulterior motives to it all.Originally posted by the_don:/.agree

My mother is a neurotic drama mama.
I prefer the children to grow up with folks that arent my own mother.
And.....I wanted a small flat, so that its easier to upkeep and tidy. Plus the location is fantastic.
And....there was potential possibility that i might be able to upgrade to a newer better HDB flat in that vicinity....and I timed it such that it will be the time when the kids may need a room on their own.
And....and....I was hoping to save monies for travelling before having kids, instead of being bogged down by loans.
