How do I get rid of a staff that I dun want?

Try to highlight why you do not wish to have him and give him a little clue of what is going to happen next..
Finally,if things do not change the way you wish...you will have to resort to giving him a letter to resign.. -

can say the staff not performing up to standard.......made intolerable mistake........ask to leave.........
it's not a nice thing to do and it makes things awkward but for the good of the organisation and others, sometimes have to do it one loh -
I've ask 2 to leave this month le... one part-time and one full time... V difficult...

tell them straight in the face, one on one. Be tactful. Tell them straight why their services are not required anymore.
"The company feels that we need more people that are able to come on time..."
"The company feels that we need employees who follow the rules...and hence we need currently do not require your service"
If they are responsible people, they'll take it like a man.
But can I ask what is the general reason of getting rid of them? -

well, i was in a place where i could not terminate one fella even though he was outright dangerous to have around.. he was mentally unbalanced, incompetent, vindictive and caused a lot of trouble...
management were too bloody afraid to terminate him

firstly why u wanna fire ur staff?
I normally dun get to fire staff. I am the one that tell the staff that management on the top not happy with thier performance etc etc... and they know what to expect liaw. N i tell them to give some reason of his/her behaviour etc...
n i pass it up.. n tell them that 'YUP... fire n hire a new one'
If u have the power to use the stick...
use it.. or else whats the stick for. -
