SDS/SDU gathering with a friend and it is very marked, the difference between women (and men for that matter) who are 30++ and some of the younger ones. I was seated right in the centre of a group of younger 20somethings (mixed) on my left, and a group of older aunties on my right. It was sooo awkward the conversation on my left, self conscious, superficial and topics were 'brief' and dynamics were so weird, there was hardly any laughter. There was 1 - 2 guys in the group. Maybe that explained the awkwardness but so sad. The girls by the way were pretty attractive I felt.
On my right, the aunties were having a great time talking about their travels, where they would want to go, how they planned for it. Lots of laughter, it was easy comfortable conversation. And what 'amazed' me is that not one of the guys showed any interest in the 'aunties' even the older men were interested in the SYTs.

You must be just a kid so that women at 30 are labelled "aunties" as they are far too old for you.
No way man. Contrary to what many people think, some women actually reach their prime when they reach 30. Just look at Maggie Cheung, Lin Ching Hsia, Lin Chi-ling, etc.
And this is not just in the looks department. I believe they are much more mentally mature to be able to commit themselves to relationships.....
Therefore the statement that all women over 30 are aunties is far too sweeping and absolute crap.

I just got back with a date with a 21 year old SYT myself....
I'll tell you why ... it's all about biology really ...
or maybe because as men mature, they do not find as much a need for emotional succor from their spouses and partners than they did when they were younger ... I find myself beginning to gravitiate towards SYTs too .... perhaps because I feel confident enough to be someone's pillar instead of needing to be "sayang'ed" by a strong woman ... -
30 and over is aunties, not just over 30.......

I just find it a pity if a guy totally does not consider an older woman
simply because of stereotypes.
An older woman doesn't necessarily want to 'sayang' anyone or be so strong she does not need a 'pillar'. Ultimately, the same standards in the relationship of being FOR each other still stands - nobody wants to be part of a relationship where her/his only attractiveness lies in being low maintenance. The effort required to commit to a relationship remains similar - I think many an independent woman have been disappointed that simply because they 'look' stronger they are expected to require 'romancing' less.
After all nowadays many women even after marriage would give birth at an age after 30. A friend of mine who is 39 just gave birth to her 2nd child, a healthy beautiful baby boy. -

it's a tough thing to address her as "Mrs. XX"
she's been referred to as "Miss YY" for so long that when you address her as "Mrs XX" it doesn't register and she doesn't answer -
How can say Women over 30 are aunties? If u want to put it this way that means men over 30 are uncles then? Utter rubbish! FYI women over the age of 30 are in their prime, wrong to say that only men are in their prime after they hit 30. Its a fact that women do get sexier, more elegant, attractive and wiser as they age. They dress much much better with so much more class compared to a lady in her 20's. The age is jus a number mah. Its how you present yourself and behave.
