That's one thing good about Asian - we are very good at adapting to new environment.Originally posted by Rhonda:Oh, must tell y'all something quite amusing!!
Today, I was working with an agency nurse from England. We thought she was an Irish cause she had that thick Irish accent. Anyways, there was a student assigned in our zone too, and after half a day of working together, the student was when she found out that I've only been here 10 months, same as the agency nurse, and she exclaimed, "I thought you were here like forever, cause you're so Aussie! More Aussie than her!"
What time are you going? Is it just Bear's sis? How about Tracy? Would love to come if I can make it in time for it. Love to meet Bear's sis.Originally posted by Rhonda:honeymouse, you wanna eat dimsum with us?
How about Crown Lager? VB is very popular here but most people nowadays go for Crown Lager. I think if I do drink I will probably go for Crown Lager.Originally posted by Fatum:I only know of Victorian Bitters ... courtesy of Ice Cold Beer, where they had authentic VBs in stubbies ...
dunno about the others but VBs a pretty good beer ...
I'll go to the liquor store this weekend and see if they have that ...Originally posted by honeymouse:How about Crown Lager? VB is very popular here but most people nowadays go for Crown Lager. I think if I do drink I will probably go for Crown Lager.

Not all Asians adapt well. Some change the environment to suit them instead! And there are Asians around who complain endlessly about the life here and try to cocoon themselves in their own little racial enclaves.Originally posted by honeymouse:That's one thing good about Asian - we are very good at adapting to new environment.
Light? I find it quite strong. And again, I am not a good drinker so anything is too strong for me.Originally posted by Rhonda:It is! Light and refreshing!! Aaaaaaahhh....
When I had my first stubbie with Bear's sis, I wanted to keep the bottle cause it was my first beer in Melbourne, but tamade, the waitress cleaned the table so fast and swiped my bottle away!!
Everyday, after work, I pass by two liquor stores and two pubs and it takes me a lot of discipline to NOT enter one of them and purchase a stubbie... or two... or three... or darnit, an entire six-pack!Originally posted by Fatum:I'll go to the liquor store this weekend and see if they have that ...

All that's stopping me, is the idea of having a beer belly!
