But seriously, S2 is very, very long overdue, considering that S1 came out in 1997. Starcraft: Ghost isn't a proper S2, since it's a first-person shooter with no PC port.
But really, would it be too difficult for them to just come up with Starcraft 2 using the existing Warcraft III engine? -

Warcraft III was different from Warcraft II in that you had a hero to look after
wonder if they want to go that way because it was something like that in Starcraft in that some characters had to survive (which is a pain sometimes)
thing i like about Blizzard is that they remember that there are Mac OS users out there who like to play games

Which reminds me... once I graduate, I'm getting rid of this piece of junk that is my laptop.
Maybe I'll go down to Sim Lim and put together a good gaming PC machine at a knock-down price.

Warcraft II: the units are not unique. For every human unit, there is one equal and opposite orc unit with very similar abilities. Starcraft: the units for each race are totally unique. For example, the smallest Terran fighting unit was a Marine, which was very different from the basic Zerg fighting unit (the Zergling).
