I usually have my brekkie before brushing my teeth too... The whole purpose of brushing our teeth is to protect them from decay, right? So it's better to brush them after having food even though it might sound yucky!Originally posted by Rhonda:I never get the attraction behind having breakfast in bed. I mean, the folks who do this wouldn't have brushed their teeth before eating breakfast! Yucks!
Unfortunately, the majority of the Aussie patients do not bother brushing their teeth, or they don't brush their teeth before having their first meal for the day! I can try to cajole / invite / persuade them to tend to their hygiene first before eating and almost always face opposition! And I ain't talking about confused / demented patients!
Breakfast in bed? Damn, I'd be too preoccupied with stray crumbs, spilt beverages and what-not to enjoy it!
Or, like what some folks eat here, soak weetbix in milk and enjoy! I've never tried it before cause I'm lactose-intolerant.Originally posted by skid:put cereal of choice in bowl>>add milk>>enjoy
That's what I have for breakfast everyday - without banana and honey though. Just 2 weetbix and milk. Yum!Originally posted by the Bear:weet bix in milk with bananas and too much honey = good breakfast
Weetbix! LOLs...Originally posted by honeymouse:That's what I have for breakfast everyday - without banana and honey though. Just 2 weetbix and milk. Yum!
I think it takes sometime to get used to the taste. You need to add lots of milk to it though before it gets soaked up by the weetbix.Originally posted by Wanda:Weetbix! LOLs...
There was a previous discussion on weetbix tasting like dried grass.
The reason I chose weetbix for breakfast is that it's not sweet as compared to other cereals. My hubby has another type of cereals - either Kellogs Just Right or Crunchy nuts. Just right is not too bad, I have it every now and then but I still prefer weetbix.Originally posted by the Bear:but weetbix is nice to eat
helps if you slather too much honey on it
I hope you don't have that too often.Originally posted by the Bear:i also like the "Iron Man Food" Nutri Grain, most of Post's cereals and Fruit Loops with Pepsi.. for the intense sugar high of your life!
I think we all know what you are trying to say.......Originally posted by Wanda:I know i spelled it wrongly.
warm water? Weetbix doesn't have much flavour so soaking it with warm water makes it worse. In fact all he needs to do is to leave it in the milk long enough and it will do the same thing.Originally posted by the Bear:oh.. my australian roommate used to soak weetbix in warm water, squeeze them dry, then add warm milk while mushing them up into a paste...
almost instant porridge!
