Organic baby foods is hot hot hot.Originally posted by elindra:I think have to decide what exactly do we want first
yes you're right ... production would be the biggest headache ... methinks that would have to be in the US ... simply because they have the best road and logistics network in any continent ... and that's one secret of their economic power ... sides, there are legions of cheap and willing mexicans ... ...Originally posted by viciouskitty74:I dunno.
I actually wanted to try making fishballs myself. And start small if i can.
Those 'fei siong' ones are nice and easy to sell.
Once you got production going, the next you need is just persons to run the stalls like hotdog stands.
Old chang kee franchise is good. But I would say the problem is with the productions. Not the stalls.
Old chang kee franchise work in the way, that they have the factory to supply your items. But you have to manage the stall and deep fried the foods only.
And problems is, capital investments for the factory and managing that factory.
I also wouldnt mind learning how to make 'Pau'.
There was an article recently that organic baby food is bad for the baby coz the baby does not build up resistance compared to when they take non-organic foodOriginally posted by viciouskitty74:Organic baby foods is hot hot hot.

its easy to fork out money.Originally posted by Fatum:well ... as long as people have enough appetite for risks ....
I mean, if you get a large enough group of investors together, each one need not fork out more than a couple of K's ... treat it as a write off, and whatever that is earned can be injected right not yet another franchise venture or whatever, sooner or later we're talking about some really serious cash flow here ....

The willingness with which people in this country spend more than they earn and voluntarily and unnecessarily go into debt, is one aspect of consumerism I do not think I shall ever fully comprehend.Originally posted by jetta:Sadly, many people "suffer" from affluenza. I was prompted to start this topic after watching it on the news. Even with no money and lots of debt, people still continue to give in to their unnecessary mataerial wants.
In my case, I'm in debt because of this house.

True! Over here, you can apply for a 100% home loan BUT, the interest kills! Worse, most of these 100% loan plans do not have fixed interest rates so if the rates increase, you can really end up crying!Originally posted by viciouskitty74:I cant agree leh.
Most youngsters, because of HDB loans & the grants, tend to rush into financial commitments w/o thinking.
Wheres most youngsters overseas, w/o cold hard cash knows they cant buy properties & stuffs.
I still find the amount spent on Christmas gifts in the Western culture really staggering and quite unnecessary!Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:The willingness with which people in this country spend more than they earn and voluntarily and unnecessarily go into debt, is one aspect of consumerism I do not think I shall ever fully comprehend.
Rhonda, I'm right behind you. I've made financial mistakes too. Expensive experience huh?Originally posted by Rhonda:jetta, you're right - everyone in here sounds so disciplined!
I did make financial mistakes when I was making the difficult transition from corporate somebody to a nursing school nobody. Somehow, I found solace in making purchases then but thankfully, now that I'm out of Singapore, the situation has stopped!
Dunno why... I just felt more miserable in my home country and maybe, that kinda made me turn to food and shopping as 'comfort crutches'.
