I am trying to type a memo on this Members-Get-Members scheme, a new promo for my company's product.
Is there such word called "Recommender"?
What about "Recommendee"?
I need to know the correct term for client who introduces new client and the term for new client.
Please help... pls pls pls -

That's in referral to 'interviewer' and 'interviewee'. What irony.

Something like new member and referee? -
I wish I could help...but I'm stumped
I've seen similar programs(described as referral programs) use the word 'referer' to describe the person who introduces a new client, and the new client described as a 'referral'.
However, looking up the dictionary for the 2 words returns conflicting results. In fact from some sites, the word referer actually has negative connations relating to spam mails and programs.
So, like i said, I'm stumped.
perhaps you can use whatever term you want but explain the intended meaning clearly in your literature/brochures -
try use referrer ....its much better

The English language is a very dynamic one in which new words are coined up all the time. Just because 'recommender' is not in it does not mean it cannot be coined. As long as people understand the term, I don't see why it cannot be invented....!Whether the new words get ecognised and accepted is another question.
In this case the use of 'er' and 'ee' as suffixes should not be a problem.
Recommender= person making recommendations
Recommendee= person being recommended.
You may put asterisks to the newly-coined terms to give an explanation of their meanings wad...... -
