  some.. kinda stabilises after a while...
  
  actually, i KNOW it's the 256MB RAM.. but tech side is in denial
  
  mostly, it's a pain using this xp machine at work after using the iMac at home

  I'll bet it's the 256MB of memory that's causing the slowdown. Is there a great deal of disk I/O going on when you're running several concurrent applications?

  Well, I definitely am getting rid of this piece of junk (ie my Toshiba laptop) after I graduate.
  
  MG: It's the Toshiba Tecra M2V. At various times in the past I've had to replace the following hardware:
  
  1. The wireless card (refused to detect ANY wireless signals even when I place my laptop next to my router)
  
  2. The DVD-ROM drive (refused to detect ANY disks that I put into it)
  
  3. The RAM chips (caused countless Blue Screens of Death)
  
  I feel like defecting to Mac.

  I got home dry, but i'm just fucking tired. Weekends are not enough to recover from the week anymore and I'm just accumulating fatigue as the weeks go by.

  Psst ! I need to buy extra RAM to boost the 256mb on the home pc....what must I know to buy the right kind of RAM? There are spare RAM slots in the CPU.

  he went on a seminar in KL yest mah... and almost wanna come into office at 10pm when he came back sg cos he noe i'll throw alot of things for him! last sun he came in also cos he noe i got work on sat ... i'm so evil!!! wahahahaa.....
