tat's almost wat i did with mine.. i decided everything then informed my parents, tat's it.... i just tell them wat time to come tat's it... but put it nicely, i told them i dun want them to worry so much

Things that can go wrong - set!
Went to the stylewedding wedding bash at swissotel on sunday. totally FELL IN LOVE with the set up.
they got black tables with red table runners & black chair covers. even the napkins are black tied with red ribbon. their ballrooms got very high celling which is very good for special design backdrops. the whole feel is so class, so grand, so quirky, SO AWESOME!!! the price difference is only $30 per table.
i'm so gonna cry

I hope you manage to find a happy compromise for that pastor thing. It is quite a fix.
As for the Swissotel decor, best not to view too many of other options since you've already made a choice The coulda-woulda-shoulda's can kill !
I actually think it's a blessing in disguise that Swissotel is no longer a viable option for you, because I can foresee a disagreement over the black decor from the traditionalists in the family

but it is really really really really very cool to have black table cloths, red table runners and chair covers. -
