Oh yar hor....Originally posted by honeymouse:Since our wedding ceremony was in the afternoon (4.30pm) and reception at 6pm, I just used one gown for the entire wedding. Couldn't be bothered to have different gowns.... cheaper too.
Especially I have already spent so much on the wedding gown and it's nice gown too so it would be such a shame to just wear it for an hour or so. I am a cheapskate I know.Originally posted by viciouskitty74:Oh yar hor....
the_don's schedule might mean changing out, changing into the gowns again for the various segment, especially the tea ceremony back at her maternal home and then the solomisation.

Usually white events are in the afternoon, while red events in the morning. This helps prevent any clashing on the road. Something to consider if you're planning a late start (Btw I think you mean AM )

If she has many events to go to, is a good way to cut down on cost while keeping her looks fresh. Did she buy or rent the outfit ?
IMO the skirt and sash is not a problem, it's the neckline that will be tricky for full-figured girls.

white events? red events? humm the clothes color??
Originally posted by hisoka:why not just one piece all the way?
or 2piece show more skin? + easier to wear?
Originally posted by viciouskitty74:2 piece can work for a full bodied gal.
A tube top kinda look.
2 different style skirts. One full with train and one long pencil with slits at the side?
Then you can do a chinese cheong sum collar translucent mesh jacket & a nonya inspired embroided mesh cardigan.
that tube top shall then last you throughout the day & night.

she bought her outfit from the wedding present. it was mtm for her.
hers was V neck lace top over a white tube. i agree that full figure gals might look even fatter with 2 layers of clothes... hummm still thinking of ideas

at least a gown, a cheongsum, a sexy night gown provides more variety.
Don has the volumptious figure to carry off a nicely cut cheongsum. her figure is the embodiment of Prosperity & Fullness.

Originally posted by choco B:Not really, if it's a thin lining and a lace top, it won't bulk up too much. Depends on which lace - french lace is thin and pretty, corded lace will add some bulk and dimension.
The tube may not be flattering for ample girls because of the amount of meat exposed on top.
The V neck.... well once again depends on cutting, the width of the shoulder part of the garment(i.e. the part of the garment that covers the shoulders) , the neckline, etc.
Hers top IIRC is wide across the shoulders - you could do a thin one with a wider neckline.

wear multiple layers and take off one after the other?Originally posted by the_don:i'm also cheapskate.... i wan to 1 gown then transform into 3!
autobots! transform!
Originally posted by the_don:wow u got good memory.... u r correct, hers is across the shoulders.
thin one with wider neck line? humm like a bigger V ? ya i think french lace would be better cos it is thinner... btw i suck in a tube. all the extra flesh spilling out is aweful
