Some people just don't want to have kids, I respect that. Kids really take alot out of you - financially, physically, emotionally, etc. Also, depending on their temperament, they can break up a marriage too.Originally posted by tare:b4 married, i dun want kids... i dun even like them lor...

For some of us, the honeymoon feeling doesn't really end. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who still feel that way. Kids or no kids, sometimes we feel like we are a new couple, enjoying togetherness. My kids say we embarass them alot because we still hold hands, hug or kiss each other.Originally posted by elindra:I didn't want to have kids before I'm married

Hey, I know some kids who are that way. But you know, your kids will be the best behaved because you will teach them to be wonderful people from day one.Originally posted by elindra:I dun like kids also lor
I think of them as pesky squirmy things and I tend to refer to kids as 'it'
The kids I'm ok with are kids over the age of 12
whatever you do, just make sure you lock the door. if they ever walk in on you you could end up paying for their lifetime therapyOriginally posted by jetta:For some of us, the honeymoon feeling doesn't really end. Bwahahaha!!!! We've trained the kids from very young to sleep through anything. We would turn on the radio or vacuum the house when we put them down to sleep. So thankfully, that kind of thing has never happened *touch wood* *note to self: start locking bedroom door at night*Originally posted by av98m:whatever you do, just make sure you lock the door. if they ever walk in on you you could end up paying for their lifetime therapy

i tried to get my parents to hug while taking photo once.... they embarassed me by making faces at each other, bickering under a huge heart made of flowers *piak forehead*
I can understand the one income predicament. That's what happened with me too. The early years were very hard on us, financially and physically. We were in Sg until my son was 3 months old and my daughter, 2 years old. I thought life was hard then but it only got harder when we moved to Japan. The next three years there were the darkest days of my life.Originally posted by elindra:That is what I can't say I can do unless I quit my job
There is no one to look after my kid if I have one seriously
My mum is out of the question coz of her work and she does have to travel quite a bit
My dad is busy with his social work stuff
My mother-in-law ..... she can barely speak English. I don't want my kid only knowing how to speak tamil
There is no one else besides me unless my boss allows me to bring my kid to the office
Quitting my job is not a solution too coz that only means we have a big hole in monthly household income
