  I saw the poor fish managed to eat 1 pellet today while piggy ate up the rest

  reminds me of my all-time favourite dwarf hamster which grew to the size of a juvenile normal hamster
  
  while most looked like furballs, he looked like a deflated furball because he was that fat

  I can't imagine a dwarf hamster that is as large as a normal hamster

  all he did was eat
  
  he was hilarious.. i take him out of the cage to clean the cage, he'll run around the box which i'll put him in temporarily.. i'll toss a couple of seeds in there and he'll start to eat..
  
  mind you.. it's not stuffing the cheekpouch but eating!
  
  when the cage is cleaned, and i put him back in there.. first visit is to the food dish... where he stuffs his cheekpouch and then starts to eat
  
  cute thing is when he's eating, and you try to drag him away from the food dish, he'll contort his body so that his head is still in the food dish and his front paws are grabbing some food
  
  you can sort of try to move him away from the food dish but he'll contort to continue his eating
  
  i love that little critter.. all the other hamsters i have ever had did not have his personality and attitude..
  
  oh... he was pretty laid-back too.. the other hamster kept picking on him until one day he retaliated and bit the other hamster, drawing blood.. and this was after a few months of being incessantly harrassed.. by a smaller hamster!

  he was..
  
  and you can irritate him with a stick and he'll "fight back" by swiping its paws at the stick..
  
  after a while, he'll just turn his back and squint as if "i don't want to play anymore"
  
  and if you keep poking him with the stick he'll turn around, eyes still closed as if to say "i'm ignoring you because i'm annoyed with you"
