Actually, he's been calling names and it's known throughout the company. Nobody ever confronted him before.Originally posted by pinkish purple papayas:Ur colleague may have been exaggerating?
"This is stupid" is very different from "Your are stupid"
Besides, whats done is also done liao.. u can't change him, he can't change you. Why not try to neutralise or find a common ground? rather then wage war.
In the end also no one wins, not even the company..
i think you are right. it one man words against the other. you did not hear the tone to the statement thus any confrontation will cause harm to the working relationship. as a HR manager does not means you champion your staff rights whenever there is a complain. if necessary find out more about the incident before taking necessary measures.Originally posted by pinkish purple papayas:Ur colleague may have been exaggerating?

What do you normally do if your boss does this to your staff?Originally posted by the Bear:well, i'm not sure how it is with your side, but it's not anything the MOM can do... unless it is done for the purpose of intimidating and causing mental distress.. and done chronically...

As long as he's not verbally abusing with vulgarities and crude words, there's very much nothing you can do...Originally posted by Honeybunz:I would like to get some advice from you all on the action I should take against my General Manager.

I would like to confront him later on this. But I'm not sure how effective it is going to be. I don't care if I lose my job but solved the problem. But I am more concerned about after talking to him and he still thinks he's right.
Do you think I should confront him or just make a complain to MOM?

Like what some of you said lor... don't expect him to apologise. I also don't expect that. Just wanna put the message across that someone was hurt.
