Why must there be office politics? I hate it...

I witnessed an ugly scene in my office last monday. My boss and his fiance was arguing with my lady supervisor. It was such a heated argument that one of the director had to intervene to cool both parties down.
Apparently, my lady supervisor dont like my boss fiance....
After 2 days of mc, I came back to work and was shocked to see that my boss belongings are no longer in his office and 2 other of my colleagues tendered their resignation.
I dont understand why adults are also behaving like kids...zzzzzzz
I feel sad that my boss is no longer around..he was a nice guy...I think my lady supervisor wil shift into his office soon... :/ -

For an outsider, doesn't matter if it's the boss's fiancee/wife, to use the company's computer without authorization is wrong UNLESS the boss is the owner of the company.

I cant bear to see the sight of my boss office cleared of his belongings...my lady supervisor told everyone that my boss is just taking "a few days leave"...I didnt see my boss clearing his belongings though...when I came back, his office is bare save for a few files.
My other colleagues havent the faintest idea what is going on because they dont sit near my boss office. My table is sandwiched between my lady supervisor office and my boss office. -

My lady boss just gave a talk to everyone. Seems that my boss is just taking 3 months leave.

tough luck to have a stupid fiance.
don't people know that they cannot just walk into anyone's office as if they live there? And worse is to use the computers without permission.
The supervisor might have overreacted but it is not uncalled for.
I can only blame the fiance for not thinking for her future husband, placed his career on the rocks and if he lost his job, the fiance has got to take full responsibility. Why can't she asked for some magazines to read? -

Its not about being a boss's anything. Its about respect for someone's things especially when the person is not around. Do you like it even if your mother, siblings, friends comes into your room to play with your things when you are not around.
Its call respect the person, respect the company and know the basic rules of conduct in a location of commerce. Don't be such an arse to not even know something so basic as courtesy. Most local people are so lacking in basic conduct in a business context.

Sounds like an (exaggerated) over-reaction from your supervisor.
Maybe getting you boss to take leave/resign is due to complains from bottom level to the highest level, over-riding your boss in another sense... -
My Department also has office politcs of which i absolutely hate! So I can understand how you feel. but I've worked in many other companies before and I see this same state existing everywhere. Guess this is just wad we've got to live with. Politics exists since the beginning of mankind.........

ur lady supervisor is really quick to take advantage of situation. this shld be the way in a office in order to survive and climb higher.

this kind of politics not really politics la. when u see those 'xiao li chang dao' or 'jie dao sha ren' or glory-whor then u know wat is politics man.
your company v small ah? local company? cos mnc usually dun have like dat one.
your boss galfren/fiance/gay partner should not have used his pc in the first place. work is work. work pc is for the empolyee to use only. even if wan to use, dun let pple see. be smart.
your lady boss and her boss confirm got previous clashes and/or your lady boss got even higher management support if not no way she can climb over your boss head. things not so simple la.
anyway you dun bother so much, just do your work, siam the politics and cover your backside can liao. unless u also one of those like to play game one then have fun
