Managing older staffs

  Hi all, need some advice, i got a staff who is almost double my age in the workplace. Sigh, really cannot stand him, very loooooooooooong winded sometimes, have to cut him off when he starts blaberring away..
  
  Any tips on how to not let him start his "nagging" at me?

  old liao recorder spoilt mah... so will keep repeating lor...
  
  listen the 1st time he talk, when he starts to repeat, switch off
  
  or politely stop him saying u gotta get back to u work...

  I find older staff tend to act out of insecurity. If you reassure him that he's doing fine , has a safe position in the organization , he may be easier to handle.

  i think there is something u can learn from all these old timers...
  
  someday we will be old timers ourselves...
  
  i do agree sometime them can be pretty naggy...

  at least they just naggy.... i can't tahan those who gives a "know it all" attitude and won't listen to others!
  
  can't teach a old dog new tricks!!

  mine's not willing to work and complain alot over little things. in the end i do his job for him cause I was so pissed with dealing with his moods and his problems and still find him un-cooperative.
