Read this news article on Knut! If you don't already know, Knut is a baby polar bear that's being hand-raised by humans in Germany. He's been in the news recently and is quite a celebrity now!

Needless to say, he is sooooooo adorable!! (Well, which baby animal isn't? ) -

If I remember correctly, Mother Bear somehow didn't take to Baby Bear and refused to take care of him. So instead of watching him die from neglect, the zoo keepers decided to take care of him themselves.Originally posted by YA.YA:He is adorable.... why wuld anyone want to kill him?
Nobody wanted to kill him but some people felt that it was inappropriate and against nature to hand-rear a polar bear cub.

well, the effing activists decided that hand-rearing a bear is "against nature" and against the rights of the bear and other stupid PETA nonsense..
so they wanted it to die or kill the thing...
those guys, a lobotomy will actually increase their IQs...
i blame their meatless diets
