the point is, a lot of people attended such course and seminars, didnt gain anything out of it, and yet become cult followers of such people extolling his wealth and 'virtues' and what not

just could not sleep last night try as i might.. even when i was dead tired..
finally drifted off to sleep when it was past 3.. only to be woken up by thunderstorm around 4:45
alarm went off at 6:30
i'm doomed -
these few days the weather has been so nice for sleeping.
sad that i'm working -
I drifted off to sleep at around 1am
Woke up at 4am
Went back to sleep
Woke up at 6am
Went back to sleep
Woke up at 7.30am
Now I feel that I have not slept at all

I went off to sleep but woke up to the sound of a huge torrent of water pouring away! Immediately thought back to the time when my kitchen flooded and destroyed so many of my books! Woke up with a start, inspected the house, nothing. Turned out the construction workers for the Upgrading Project probably worked through the night as well cause after that, there was the sound of a huge plastic mat or something being dragged across the ground downstairs.
Overall slept quite well cause of my accummulated nights of bad sleep and jet lag!
Bear and elindra, you poor souls! Want me to bring Chicken Essence to you or not, elindra? I know Bear can't take that cause it triggers projectile vomiting in him! -

I'm trying to look for a vacation job.
I'm not very particular about what kind of job it is, so long as the pay's reasonable (say, $5 an hour).
If all else fails, I'll just contact my former manager at Pan Pacific Hotel. Frankly speaking, the pay there is good ($6/hour + tips), but I've had some pretty bad experiences there.
Simply put, the Mats there (Malay ah bengs) can't seem to put up with a 'university boy' working there for a few weeks.
