But... but... those nice lipstick sets, etc etc... not interested in any of them at all?
seriously, club30 are soo much more of information treasure trove.Originally posted by the Bear:by the way.. i've said ad nauseum... only FOUR things are dutiable in Singapore..
- Tobacco
- Alcohol
- Motor Vehicles
- Motor Spirits (petrol, diesel..)
everything else, is NOT dutiable... so you buy anything else from the DFS, is basically the same thing you get at any shop in Singapore...
since there is no Duty-Free allowances from Malaysia, only at the Sea Ports and Airport when you're coming in from anywhere else except Malaysia, you are given allowances... Motor Vehicles and Motor Spirits is not part of the duty free allowances anyway, and neither is Tobacco..
the only thing that is truly Duty-Free when bringing into Singapore is Alcohol
you are allowed 1 litre of Spirits, 1 litre of wine or port, 1 litre of beer, stout, ale or porters...
so, now you are educated as to what DFS is all about when coming to Singapore
