Ice wine (or icewine or, in German, Eiswein) is a type of dessert wine produced from grapes that have been frozen while still on the vine. The sugars and other dissolved solids do not freeze, but the water does, so the result is a concentrated, often very sweet wine. The effect is comparable to the freeze distillation that was traditionally used to make applejack and similar beverages, but in the case of ice wines, the freezing happens before the fermentation, not afterwards. Unlike the grapes from which other dessert wines (such as Sauternes, Tokaji, or Trockenbeerenauslese) are made, ice wine grapes tend not to be affected by Botrytis cinerea or noble rot. This gives ice wine its characteristic refreshing sweetness balanced by high acidity. When the grapes are free of Botrytis, they are said to come in "clean".

Sounds really lovely! I wanna try too!
but they are also excluding GST right? Mont Blanc sale assistant at airport told me this.Originally posted by the Bear:by the way.. i've said ad nauseum... only FOUR things are dutiable in Singapore..
- Tobacco
- Alcohol
- Motor Vehicles
- Motor Spirits (petrol, diesel..)
everything else, is NOT dutiable... so you buy anything else from the DFS, is basically the same thing you get at any shop in Singapore...
since there is no Duty-Free allowances from Malaysia, only at the Sea Ports and Airport when you're coming in from anywhere else except Malaysia, you are given allowances... Motor Vehicles and Motor Spirits is not part of the duty free allowances anyway, and neither is Tobacco..
the only thing that is truly Duty-Free when bringing into Singapore is Alcohol
you are allowed 1 litre of Spirits, 1 litre of wine or port, 1 litre of beer, stout, ale or porters...
so, now you are educated as to what DFS is all about when coming to Singapore
