1. What type of place do you live in?
I shall talk about my home in Singapore, cos that's my home, the place I keep here is just a rental place where I sleep, not my own, nor my home.
a 5 bedroom terrace house at Cashew Road.
2. Who does most of the housework? Why?
Mommy, she became a full-time housewife 8 years ago when our last maid brought some illegal immigrant into the house at night and tried to steal. We've never had a maid since and I think our house became a lot better kept actually, since the housework is done with love.
3. How would you describe the condition of your room?
... hovel .... full of stuff from long ago cos I'm a super pack rat and extremely sentimental ... plus I have an enormous collection of books ....
4. If budget is not a problem, how would you decorate your house? What kind of style?
that's not really my house, but my parents, it's quite nice the way things are.
5. In your opinion, which is the most important room in the house? Why?
The dinning room, cos that's where most of the family interaction takes place. A family that eats together stays together ....
6. Is your house always in a clean, organised condition and ready to receive guest without prior notice? Or do you feel uncomfortable having guests over without prior notice?
Well, I show my hovel to my friends all the time ... any time, any place ...
7. Dust Bunnies Test - Do you think someone with a dust allergy will be alright in your house?
no ... definitely not ... not in my room at least ...
8. How often do you invite friends / guests over? Why or why not?
we always have people over all the time, relatives, brother's friends, sister's friends, my friends, my folks believe that it's important for a house to have lots of "ren chi" (human spirit) to be healthy ... so we have gatherings and parties all the time. Infact, you guys should come over for a BBQ when I'm back for hols next year ...

x2 Half of the dining table is covered with Mr Pinky's Bear barang barang. He just dumps everything there when he comes home from workOriginally posted by choco B:I KNOW ! The dining table is like the first Holding Area for anything and everything you bring into the house! Ours is always cluttered until there is just no empty space left on it then we get resolute and clear everything away... and next day, the cycle continues...
And perhaps a few of you would now be able to empathise with the dinner table-less me! That's why everything ends up on the floor or on top of empty boxes that serve as 'tabletops' in my apartment!Originally posted by choco B:I KNOW ! The other half is covered with our laundry
Needless to say, we eat in front of the TV
My mum was horrified when she popped by unannouced one day and was like
WHAT!!! YOU GUYS LEAVE YR FRESHLY WASHED CLOTHES ON THE DINING TABLE
Be very scared. You will become just like your mother some day....Originally posted by elindra:My mum is the wife any guy dreams to have I think
Work and keep the house clean alone
When she was a housewife she cleaned everything EVERYDAY including mopping the floor and she irons every single damn piece of clothes that can be ironed including our bath towels and home t-shirts and also the bed sheets
I was brought up with the thought that these stuff have to be ironed too till Mr Pinky Bear told me....no one irons those.... I was like 'REALLY??' My mum does that
Anyway as she is working now she can't do as much housework but the house is still very very tidy

Instead of asking for personal particulars like filling up some form, there'll be a few questions on different aspects of our lives. Sometimes, you can get to know a person well just from the way they live their lives, their habits, etc.
(I know a few twisted individuals here would like to have the information to keep as fodder for criticisms and assaults in future, but nevermind, we'll just let the twisted go their own twisted ways! )
Let's start with Part I where we shall look at our habitat! Answer them and give as many details and comments as you can!
Questions :
1. What type of place do you live in?
private pigeon holes
2. Who does most of the housework? Why?
maid. i damn idle one
3. How would you describe the condition of your room?
pretty spick and spank. credit goes to the maid for housekeeping and credit goes to Mrs SevenEleven for the admin and paperwork matters.
4. If budget is not a problem, how would you decorate your house? What kind of style?
probably shift to a place whereby i can see the sea. if money no problem, sentosa cove would be great. less carbon monoxide and more fresh air. I like to sound of the sea and waves.
5. In your opinion, which is the most important room in the house? Why?
generally all should be renovated to taste. i would love a cosy corner either in the balcony that faces the sea or a quiet coner by the windows where i can see the sea and read by the window.
6. Is your house always in a clean, organised condition and ready to receive guest without prior notice? Or do you feel uncomfortable having guests over without prior notice?
