A little messy when stuff (magazines, bags, accessories etc) piles up on the table/floor. I try to clear on fortnightly basis. Wardrobe mess will remain till next spring cleaning on cny.

Minimalist. Less shelves (less cleaning).

Bedroom. Thats where my cozy bed is..

3-bedroom townhouse, end unit. (I have a thing for end units. )

When it was just me and the hubster, it was 70% me, 30% him. Now with two pre-teens, it's 70% me, 20% hubster, 10% kids. What are kids for?

Er... pai seh, there are untidy pockets here and there. Mainly not putting books away, or leaving cups/mugs on the coffee table. My main problem area is the damn dining table. I simply cannot and have not been able to clear the table top. It's been months since I've seen the top of the dining table!
That's why we tend to eat dinner at the coffee table while we watch TV.
4. If budget is not a problem, how would you decorate your house? What kind of style?
After living here for 6 months, although we have many DIY improvement projects yet undone, I think we are pretty much happy with the cozy ambience of our place. We're casual people and don't like anything fussy. My next project would be to install custom closet organizers in all three bedrooms.
5. In your opinion, which is the most important room in the house? Why?
The kitchen. That's where we hang out most of the time. Besides that's where our PC station is. with the radio for company. Our kitchen opens to the patio via a sliding door. I went crazy last week and bought lots of petunias and other blooms so now, my patio is a riot of colour. I'm also growing tomatoes for the first time. I'm so excited! No fruit yet but any day now. *kan cheong*

Depends on which day of the week. Saturdays are major laundry days, when we also wash the bedsheets. I let the house go to pot on the weekends and leave the tidying up, cleaning, etc on Mondays. If guests come when the house is untidy, I always tell them to avert their eyes.

Hmm... no one's ever said anything. Yet.

We love having people over. But we're new to this area and don't have good friends, so no, we haven't invited anyone over at all. -

Neat & tidy most of the time. We try to create a 'homely' look & feel to it too.

Parquet floors throughout the house. Done up country style with lots of wooden furniture i.e. wooden dining table & chairs, coffee table, entertainment unit, etc. French-style doors & windows.

Bathroom Cos you need to use it every day!

3. Basic, sparse, tidy, sort of have everything categoriesed and placed to where its needed most. Books, stationaries on table, makeups, documents in drawers.

4. Contemparary chinese, with lots of real wood and move-able furniture that can be easily dismentle and assemble elsewhere. And Chinese paintings hanging in new agey frames.

5.Utility Room, where I do the ironing. It must have a fan, a radio & easy access to hangers and a clothe hanging rack.

6. Guess I am comfortable with my friends visiting, and they dont mind my mess. Afterall, they are there for me.

The modt important area of the house must surely be a fight between the living room and my bedroom coz the living room is where guests are usually entertained while my bedroom is because that's where I spend most of my time, whether I'm on the net or plain vegetating...... but if I really gotta choose, it's gotta be my bedroom!

I KNOW ! The dining table is like the first Holding Area for anything and everything you bring into the house! Ours is always cluttered until there is just no empty space left on it then we get resolute and clear everything away... and next day, the cycle continues...

Moms are like the housekeeping police! They pop by unannounced to catch any 'violations'!
Anyways, I shall never have to worry about my mom dropping by unannounced anymore! Besides, she's quite a sloppy housekeeper herself cause she works and when she comes home, housework's definitely not her priority, so therefore, my apartment is anytime cleaner and more organised than my family home! -

Work and keep the house clean alone
When she was a housewife she cleaned everything EVERYDAY including mopping the floor and she irons every single damn piece of clothes that can be ironed including our bath towels and home t-shirts and also the bed sheets
I was brought up with the thought that these stuff have to be ironed too till Mr Pinky Bear told me....no one irons those.... I was like 'REALLY??' My mum does that
Anyway as she is working now she can't do as much housework but the house is still very very tidy -

Nope. Most of the laundry is placed on the sofa set at the living room. And my mum only does 'selective cleaning'

pretty spick and spank. credit goes to the maid for housekeeping and credit goes to Mrs SevenEleven for the admin and paperwork matters.

probably shift to a place whereby i can see the sea. if money no problem, sentosa cove would be great. less carbon monoxide and more fresh air. I like to sound of the sea and waves.

generally all should be renovated to taste. i would love a cosy corner either in the balcony that faces the sea or a quiet coner by the windows where i can see the sea and read by the window.
