7 days 6 nights packaged tour with SA Tours.
The tour is around $1988, taxes $300ish, total spent on tour and taxes is about $2300. This covers airfare, hotel, all meals barring one. If you shop around the bigger travel agencies, this is the average going rate.
Spending money, around S$500 is enough for tidbits & souvenirs... unless you want to buy Burberry Blue Label

Yes, this package tours Hokkaido only. On returning, we spent one night in Tokyo because of transit flight the next morning. But there was no time to travel to the city - strictly transit only.Originally posted by SGpork:oh...thank you!

saw giant sunflower (as tall as 1.7m) and yes, their strawberry are super good !!! -

Embarrassed to confess, that because it was a packaged tour, we were pretty much led around, so I don't have precise recommendations with names and addresses for you
What I think you die die must try and are probably already in your itinerary, are:
Ice cream. Milk, lavendar and melon flavour. Someone told me cherry blossom flavour tastes like cough syrup
Hot spring , indoors & outdoors. Don't soak excessively long please, will get giddy LOL. And communal baths
I'm not sure if they still have it in July, but in the evenings, there are fireworks over Lake Toya. So if you have a room overlooking the lake, remember to stay in after dinner to watch the fireworks V romantic neh
Ramen . Actually I find they are close to what we have here.
Seafood - urchin, crab, scallop
Fruits - strawberries , melon, etc
If your girl is a shopper, Sapporo has a Burberry Blue Label shop, it's in a dept store near the TV Tower. Tourist == tax-free.
There is also a factory outlet mall at Chitose called Rera - Coach store got discount! http://www.outlet-rera.com/

We got a "customised" package because we can't travel on their planned dates. Will be traveling on 1st - 11th, thereafter 3 days in Tokyo.

My colleagues went to Hokkaido in April and came back with loads of chocolates.
This 1 is with strawberry. -
